Hear better and pay less with Teachers Health exclusive Specsavers Audiology partnership
Healthy hearing is essential for enjoying life to the fullest, which is why Nurses & Midwives Health members can now enjoy exclusive savings on Specsavers Advance range of hearing aids and free assessments.
Teachers Health is the first health fund in Australia to partner with Specsavers Audiology – offering Teachers Health, Nurses & Midwives Health and UniHealth members a free hearing assessment and no or low out of pocket on hearing aids, and accessible through over 300 Specsavers Audiology locations across Australia.
The partnership provides Teachers Health members more of what they need and significant savings when they need it most.
Here’s how it works:
- Members book a free hearing check at Specsavers Audiology
- If a further hearing assessment is needed, it’s free (usually $49)
- If you’re looking for hearing aids, get a discount or pay no gap depending on the type of hearing aid and if you qualify for the government’s Hearing Services Program (HSP). Specsavers can check your eligibility and deduct the subsidy from the cost of your hearing device
- Got Top Extras? We’ll cover any out-of-pocket costs* up to your available limits and after any waiting periods.
*We’ll pay a benefit up to your yearly limit. The amount also depends on your cover level, waiting periods served (there’s usually a 12-month wait for Aids & Appliances) and benefits available.
Here’s what the out-of-pocket costs might look like:
